I have had A LOT of new sign ups to my blog/this newsletter recently, and for that I am truly grateful, so THANK YOU guys so much for signing up! I don’t post a ton anyway so don’t worry, these emails won’t be as annoying as (insert your store of choice here that overdoes it).
Anyway, I worked pretty hard on this post for FreshDirect and, of course, IG doesn’t think it’s important or good, so I wanted to make sure people saw it. Not just because I worked hard on it, but because a lot of you asked about the things I eat on a regular basis and this is quite the list.
It’s basically a “What’s In My Grocery Bag?” style post, and I did a fun “BBB” shoot for the video. “BBB” stands for “boop, boop, boop” in my world. There’s definitely a real name for this type of video, and once you see it, you’ll know what I’m talking about, but because I’m weird, I call it a BBB vid.
SPEAKING OF WEIRD! I finally launched my Misfit Creatives IG page (@themisfitcreatives)! I wanted a place to house ONLY my work stuff as it pertains to social media and content creation. My own page has been a mish mosh of things for a while and I started to feel weird directing clients to my page with all the comedy and podcast stuff on there. So anyway, if you’re a creator and/or a small business looking for social help, give me a follow!
Now, back to the FreshDirect stuff! I have a promo code for you too! Use DARA15 for $15 off your order of $75 or more.
And here’s the IG post that IG doesn’t deem worthy of eyeballs:
And here’s a little excerpt from the blog, specifically the “Snacks” and “Dinner” lists:
Snacks:
Simple Mills Almond Flour Cheddar Crackers – these are great and I usually buy the little snack packs if they have them – perfect for when I’m feeling snacky but don’t want to overdo it. Portion control is king!
Pretzel Shells – I love these because they feel less dense than regular pretzels, I also love anything crunchy/crispy. They’re great for dipping in hummus or my favorite Greek yogurt onion dip (made with this dip – buy on amazon, it’s SO good!)
Siete Lime Tortilla Chips – these remind me of healthy Doritos. They’re super thin and crispy, Grain-free, with a delightfully tangy lime flavor.
Dinners:
Branzino – I can’t stress this enough, this is one of the best and easiest things I make in the air fryer, and FreshDirect’s filets are great! I didn’t even really like fish growing up, and I NEVER ever made it for myself for dinner up until a year or two ago. Now, I make it probably once/week. Just sprinkle with salt, lemon-pepper seasoning, and paprika, then air-fry for 12-13 mins. I make salmon in the air fryer too.
Kevin’s Paleo Korean BBQ Style Chicken/Teriyaki Chicken – I’m obsessed with these. They cook them with the sous vide method, so the chicken is so tender, I just heat it up on the stovetop (but you can microwave too I think), add the sauce, then I add green beans or Steamfresh broccoli, and a package of the Nature’s Promise Jasmine Rice. It’s literally just as good, if not better, than takeout. And SO much better for you.
More to come, but I’m off to vacay this week for my birthday.
See ya when I get back!
